Check UV Exposure
IBCs stored outdoors should be inspected more frequently. UV can degrade HDPE over time.
Label Everything
Always label totes with contents, date filled, and any hazards. Good labeling prevents accidents.
Inspect Before Use
Do a visual inspection before filling. Check valves, caps, and look for cracks or damage.
Clean Between Uses
Even for the same product, rinse totes between fills to prevent contamination buildup.
Stack Safely
Never stack more than 2 high when full. Empty totes can usually go 3 high.
Mind Temperature
HDPE handles -40°F to 140°F. Check contents freezing/boiling points in extreme weather.
